About the Sire Line

The talented and athletic Damokles was five-star placed and jumped the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™️ New York at the American Gold Cup within two months of debuting at the international level. Damokles is by Ukato, one of the most talented and successful sons of the great Stakkato. Ukato died at the end of 2014. Ukato died too early after he had an impressive career in sport. Ridden by Willem Greve, Ukato won the Grand Prix of Dresden, Hagen and Salzburg and was placed many times in international classes. As a six year old Ukato – than ridden by Marco Brinkman won the bronze medal at the World Championships in Lanaken. As a youngster Ukato won a lot of classes. At the KWPN Performancetest he received a 9,5 for his jumping ability.

Ukato passes on his jumping talent to his progeny. Over 60 offspring jump at international level at 1.40m level and higher. His son Alamo won the Grand Prix of Helsinki 2017, ridden by Steve Guerdat. Based on the results of his offspring Ukato is ranked in the top 5 of the Horsetelex IPV ranking. Ukato is bred by Paul Schockemohle out of the famous Holstein damline of Calido I and Little Rock. Also the our young stallion Jargon is bred out of this damline.

Ukato’s sire Stakkato is one of the legends and proven sires of the Hanoverian Society.  Damokles’s dam is the KWPN mare Orindy, a productive broodmare who has produced no less than three internationally competing offspring, all by Ukato.

About the Dam Line

Cairobi had an injury as a young jumper and has had 4 foals. Cairobi is by Verdi TN and out Nairobi by Epilot .  Nairobi Produced one horse to jump 1.45. Cairobi’s Sire Verdi was bred out of the famous Holsteiner damline 747a, which also produced Calato, VDL Bubalu, Vingino and many more world-class showjumpers and stallions.  VDL Groep Verdi TN N.O.P. is the best example of sport and breeding going hand in hand. For years, Verdi combines his career as a sire with a sports career at the very highest level. Verdi and his rider Maikel van der Vleuten competed at five major championship in a row (!): European Championships in Madrid 2011, Olympic Games in London 2012, European Championships in Herning 2013, World Equestrian Games in Caen 2014 and European Championship in Aachen 2015. In addition, Verdi took part in no less than three World Cup Finals, in which he finished twice as 6th and once as 7th! Besides his own performances, Verdi’s pedigree is also outstanding. Sire Quidam de Revel is one of the most influential sires of the past decades and the same goes for Verdi’s legendary grandsire Landgraf I. It does not come as a surprise that Verdi is developing into a true foundation sire himself. From his first crops of offspring, one after another jumps at Grand Prix level and although his oldest progeny is only 10 years old, over 80 offspring by Verdi jump at 1.40m level or higher. In addition, his sons Farmgraaf and First Verdi were approved by the KWPN and Verdi produced numerous champions at KWPN Mare Shows.
