About the Sire Line

Salarino is by the famous Stallion Indoctro.  Indoctro is one of the world’s greatest sires. His offspring continue to achieve successes at the highest level and a significant number of offspring have competed at Olympic Games. In Rio de Janeiro Indoctro was represented by his sons Imothep and Amarillo. At previous Olympics were: Vedor, Casadora, VDL Orestus, Don Porfirio and Nike. Baileys, with the Dutch team, was the winner of the Nations Cup final in Barcelona and the Nations Cup in Falsterbo. He placed 2nd in the GP Amsterdam, 3rd in the GP Redefin, and 6th in the GP Bolesworth. VDL Groep Arera C won a large class in London, was 2nd in the GCT GP at Estoril, 3rd in the GP La Baule and 3rd in the GP Mexico-city. Hello M’Lady won a GCT-class in Mexico-city, was 8th in the GCT GP of Shanghai and 9th in the GCT GP of Miami. Cas 2 was 4th in the GP Wellington and 6th in the GP Luik, Dalien Swally R.P won the GP Kronenberg, Celebrity VDL won the GP de Wolden, Christy Jnr won Falsterbo’s Derby, and Wittinger VDL won the GP Sonoma Park etc.

Other offspring that performed superbly were: Aseth S, Angelotti, Aristotelis, Cedric, Coledo, Dante, Eleganto, Indigo, Interline H, I am Samourai, It’s Real Love vd Smis Z, Matador, Orchidee Messipierre, SL Implacavel, Springfield, Top de Hus, Ugano de Coquerie, Vivaldi K, Whitney, Wilhelmina, Willem, Wireina, Zaire, Zorro H etc, Black Ice, Induction, Maddock, Maserati, Minka’s Diamond, Mustique, Nadia, Nassau, VDL Orame, Patrick VII, Picolien Zeldenrust, Sr. Doctro, Tavanta, Tyson, Ultimate VDL and Youp also helped to keep their sires’ name in the forefront.

Worldwide, offspring of Indoctro won more Championship titles. Always There, Vedor, and Ubalia were World Champions in Lanaken. Aristotelis was Mexican Show Jumping Champion, Van Schijndel’s Concrex Owaola was Dutch Eventing Champion and Flying Saucer das Umburanas was the Dutch Champion Young Riders. Indoctro’s sons Boss VDL and VDL Orame were recognized Champions of KWPN Stallion Selections. Gloed became Dutch Champion of the 5-year old jumpers and was sold for Ä 220.000 in the Dutch Sport Horse Sales. Indoctro has sired a significant number of ‘Ster, Keur and Elite’ mares and has several approved sons in other studbooks.

About the Dam Line

Salarino’s Mother is Brooklyn (AKA Artemis Van Het Lambroek).  She is a 1.45 jumper herself by the famous Dominard stallion and out of a Quidam De Revel Mother.  Brooklyn’s dam produced a 1.45 and 1.50 jumper. Her grandam produced a 1.50 jumper.  Her great grandam produced 4 horses to jump 1.45-1.60.  Brooklyn has had 5 foals.  Penelope a 2015 Diamant De Semilly is jumping at the 1.10 Level.  

Dominard, bred by Paul Schockemöhle, was a son of the famous Domino, who brought forth a number of excellent jumping horses, such as 1989 German equestrian championship finalists Mannheim Dream Valley (second) and PS Dynastar (1e). Domino's sire, Domspatz, is considered the most famous jumper progenitor of Germany and is via Grafbound the father of the Goldfish II tribe of Hannover. Domspatz brought forth more than 300 contest horses and his offspring have earned more than DM 1,000,000.  He's also father of the stallion Discus who brought forth the remarkable Doreen La Silla (Jan Tops) and The Natural, winner of the World Cup 1986 under Catherine Burdsal.

Dominard's dam is Persika H.  Zij has succesfully jumped 1,50m circuits and is through her grandfather, the Thoroughbred  Perser, an offspring of Abendfrieden, from the famous Fero xx. Dominard started his career in 1995 in the international jumping contests with rider Albert Voorn.
